3x/4 - x/3 = x/4 - 1/2

= 9x - 4x/12 = x -2/4 (cross multiplication)

= 4(9x - 4x) = 12(x - 2)

= 36x - 16x = 12x - 24

= 20x = 12x - 24

= 20x - 12x = -24

= 8x = -24

= x = -24/-8

= .: x = 3 (ans)
