Solve the following equations and verify the result in each case .
  a. \:  \: \frac{5x - 4}{8}  -  \frac{x - 3}{5}  =  \frac{x  + 6}{4}
b.  \:  \: \frac{2x + 5}{3x + 4}  = 3
c. \:  \:  \: x -  \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{7}{5}
d.  \:  \: 0.5x +  \frac{x}{3}  = 0.25x + 7

 \frac{2x + 5}{3x + 4}  = 3

2x + 5 = 3(3x + 4)

2x + 5 = 9x + 12

5 - 12 = 9x - 2x

 - 7 = 7x

x =  - 1

x -  \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{7}{5}

x =  \frac{7}{5}  +  \frac{3}{5}

x =  \frac{10}{5}

x = 2
