Hi,
ax/b - by/a = a + b ------( 1 )
ax - by = 2ab ----( 2 )
Divide each term with ' b ' in
equation ( 2 ) ,we get
ax/b - y = 2a ---( 3 )
Subtract equation ( 3 ) from equation ( 1 ),
we get
- by/a + y = a + b -2a
( -b/a + 1 )y = b - a
[( -b + a )/a]y = ( b - a )
[ ( a - b )/a ] y = -( a - b )
y = [ -( a - b ) ]×[a/( a - b ) ]
y = - a
Substitute y = -a in equation ( 2 ),
we get
ax - b ( - a ) = 2ab
ax = 2ab - ab
ax = ab
x = ab/a
x = b
Therefore ,
x = b , y = -a
I hope this helps you.
