Solution :-

Given , equation

  • 4x - 7 = 13

We need to find ,

  • x = ?

Simplifying the equation

→ 4x - 7 = 13

→ 4x = 13 + 7

[°.° 7 transposed to RHS , the 7 will be added to RHS because the no. 7 at LHS is negative if transposed to RHS it will be positive ]

→ 4x = 20

→ x = 20/4

x = 5

Verification :-

Substituting the value of x in the given equation,

→ 4x - 7 = 13

Taking LHS and substituting the value of x

→ 4(5) - 7

→ 20 - 7

3

Now , comparing with RHS

LHS = RHS

Hence , verified !
