Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

  • 4(2x-1)-2(x-5)=5(x+1)+3
  • 8x - 4 - 2x + 10 = 5x + 5 + 3
  • 6x + 6 = 5x + 8
  • 6 - 8 = 5x - 6x
  • - 2 = -x
  • 2 = x

On verification:-

Putting x = 2 ,we get

LHS;

4(2×2 - 1) - 2(2 - 5)

= 4(4 - 1) - 2(-3)

= 4×3 + 6

= 18

RHS;

5(2 + 1) + 3

=5×3 + 3

= 18

Hence, verified as LHS = RHS .
