Answer:

y=-2

x=3

Step-by-step explanation:

X+2y=-1

2x-3y=12

X=-1-2y

2(-1-2y)-3y=12

-2-4y-3y=12

-7y=14

y=-2

x=3

Hope it helps!!!!!

Given that :

x+2y = -1 .... (1)

2x-3y = 12 ...(2)

On Multiplying by 2 in equation (1) :

2x+4y = -2 .... (3)

On Subtracting the equation (2) from (3) :

7y = -14

=> y = -2

On putting the value of y in equation (1) :

x = -1-2×(-2)

=> x = 3

Required value : x = 3 and y = -2
