Answer
x = 1 and y = 1
Solution
BY ELIMINATION METHOD
EQUATION:-
2x + 3y = 5 ....... (1)
3x - 2y = 1 ..........(2)
multiply equation (1) by 2
multiply equation (2) by 3
we get
=> 13x = 13
=> x = 1
=> put x = 1 in equation (1)
=> 2 (1) + 3y = 5
=> 3y = 3
=> y = 1
BY SUBSTITUTION METHOD
EQUATION:-
2x + 3y = 5 ...... (1)
3x - 2y = 1 ......(2)
From equation (2) we get:-
=> 3x - 2y = 1
=> 3x = 1 + 2y
=> x = 1 + 2y / 3 ...... (3)
put the value of x = 1 + 2y / 3 in equation (1)
=> 2 ( 1 + 2y ) / 3 + 3y = 5
=> 2 + 4y / 3 + 3y = 5
=> 13y = 15 - 2
=> 13y = 13
=> y = 1
put y = 1 in equation (3) we get:-
=> x = 1 + 2 (1) / 3
=> x = 3 / 3
=> x = 1
