x=3, y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve the equation,

4x+\frac{6}{y}=15      ....(i)

multiply equation (i) by 4

16x+\frac{24}{y}=60    ....(ii)

6x-\frac{8}{y}=14      ....(iii)

multiply equation (iii) by 3

18x-\frac{24}{y}=42    ....(iv)

add equation (ii) and (iv)

16x+\frac{24}{y}+18x-\frac{24}{y}=60+42

16x+18x=60+42

34x=102

x=3

Put the value of x in equation (i)

4\times 3+\frac{6}{y}=15

12+\frac{6}{y}=15

\frac{6}{y}=15-12

\frac{6}{y}=3

y=2
