✌✌

 5x^2 -  4x -  7 =  0

..

By quadratic formula :-

D =  b^2 - 4(a)(c)

D = (-4)(-4) - 4(5)(-7)

D = 16 + 140

D = 156

..

As,

x = (-b +- √D)/2

x = [-(-4) +- 12.48 ]/2

If :-

x = (4 - 12.48)/2

x = -8.48/2

x = -4.24

If :-

x = (4 + 12.48)/2

x = 16.48/2

x = 8.24...
