x²-9x-36 = 0
(x)²-2(x)(9/2) -36 + 225/4-225/4 =0
=> (x)²-2(x)(9/2) + (9/2)² -(15/2)² = 0
=> (x-9/2)²-(15/2)² =0
=> { x-9/2-15/2}{x-9/2+15/2} = 0
=> (x-12)(x+3) = 0
=> x = 12 or -3
