x2 − 7 + 12 = 0​

x^2-7x+12=0

multiply constant with coefficient of x^2

1×12=12

factors of 12 so that their sum is -7

(-3)×(-4)=12

-3+(-4)=-7

x^2-3x-4x+12=0

x(x-3)-4(x-3)=0

(x-3)(x-4)=0

x-3=0 (or) x-4=0

x=3 (or) x=4

x=3,4
