Answer:

4y²=24y

=4y-24y=0

3y(y-6)=0

3y=0 or ( y-6)=0

y=0 , y=6

To Find :- Solve the following quadratic equation by factorization method :- 4y² = 24y .

Solution :-

→ 4y² = 24y

→ 4y² - 24y = 0

now, according to factorization method taking common ,

→ 4y * y - 6 * 4y = 0

taking 4y common now,

→ 4y(y - 6) = 0

now, equating each factor equal to zero we get,

→ 4y = 0

→ y = 0

and,

→ y - 6 = 0

→ y = 6

therefore, the solutions of the given quadratic equation are y = 0 and y = 6 .
