3x2 + 2x - 1 = 0 X 3

9x2 + 6x - 3 =0

(3x)2 + (2X6xX1) + (1)2 - (1)2 - 3 = 0

(3x+1)2 = 3 + 1

(3x+1) = +-2

therefore,

alpha = 3x+1 = 2

3x = 1

x = 1/3

beta = 3x+1 = -2

3x = -3

x = -1
