solve the following quadratic equations by factorisation method : 2x²-x-6=0

2 {x}^{2}  - x  - 6 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3x - 6 = 0 \\2 x(x - 2) + 3(x - 2) = 0 \\ (x - 2)(2x + 3) = 0
thus x=2 &-3/2

2x {}^{2}  - x - 6 = 0 \\  \\  =  >2x {}^{2}   + 3x - 4x - 6 = 0 \\  \\  =  > x(2x + 3) - 2(2x + 3) = 0 \\  \\  =  > (2x + 3)(x - 2) = 0 \\  \\  =  > 2x + 3 = 0 \:  \: or \:  \: x - 2 = 0 \\  \\  =  >2 x =  - 3 \:  \: or \:  \: x = 2 \\  \\  =  > x =  -  \frac{3}{2}  \:  \: or \:  \: x = 2.
