Given

( 2x + 3 )² - 81 = 0

=> ( 2x + 3 )² - 9² = 0

=>(2x+3+9)( 2x+3-9)=0

[By algebraic identity

a² - b² = ( a + b )( a - b )]

=> ( 2x + 12)( 2x - 6 ) = 0

=> 2x+12 = 0 or 2x-6=0

=> 2x = -12 or 2x = 6

=> x = -12/2 or x = 6/2

x = -6 or x = 3

Therefore ,

x = -6 or x = 3
