SOLUTION :

Given : abx² + b² - ac)x - bc = 0

abx² + b²x - acx - bc = 0

bx(ax + b) - c(ax + b) = 0

(bx - c) (ax + b) = 0

(bx - c)  = 0  or  (ax + b) = 0

[Equate each factor to zero]

bx = c  or  ax = - b

x = c/b  or  x = - b/a

Hence, the roots of the quadratic equation abx² + b² - ac)x - bc = 0 are c/b  & - b/a .

Answer:

abx² + b(²-ac)x - bc= 0

abx² + b²x - acx - bc= 0

bx(ax + b) - c(ax + b) = 0

(ax + b) (bx - c) = 0

ax + b = 0 or bx - c = 0

ax = - b or bx = c

x = - b/a or x = c/b
