3a + 5b = 26 --------------- 1.
a + 5b = 22 - - - - - - - - - - 2.

On solving equation 1 and 2 we get

2a = 4.
a = 2.

Now on putting the value of a in 2nd equation.
We get,

5b = 22-2
b = 20/5

b = 4.

So the value of a = 2 and b =4.

3a + 5b = 26 ------(1)
a+5b=22--------(2)

3a = 26-5b
a = (26 -5b)/3

now putting the value of" a "in equation (2) we get ,
(26 -5b)/3 + 5b = 22
[(26 -5b)+15b]/3 = 22
26+10b = 66
10b = 40
b = 4
now putting the value of the in equation (2) we get ,
a +5×4 = 22
a = 22-20
a = 2
