From (1) we have , y=12-1.8x-----(3)

substitute the value of y in (2)

=>1.4x+1.4(12-1.8x)=11.2

=>1.4x+16.8-2.52x=11.2

=> 1.4x-2.52x=11.2-16.8

=>-1.12x=-5.6

=>1.12x=5.6

=>(112/100)x=(56/10)

=>x=(56/10)×(100/112)

=>x=(56×100)/(10×112)

=>x=5

The value of x=5

Substitute the value of x in (3)

=>y=12-1.8(5)

=>y=12-9

=>y=3

The value of y=3
