Step-by-step explanation:

3x+5y=10 ........(i)

x-2y=7...........( ii)

eqn(i)×1=3x+5y=10

eqn(ii)×3=3x-6y=21

(-) (+) =(-)

——————————

subtract=> 11y= -11

=> y= -1

put the value of y= -1 in the (ii) eqn

x-2y=7

=>x-2(-1)=7

=>x+2=7

=>x= 7-2 =5

x=5

y= -1
