x = 50/13  

y = 29/13

Step-by-step explanation:

First equation :(x + 5y = 15) x2

Second equation : (2x - 3y = 1)

Multiply first equation by 2 to get same number of x

(2x + 10y = 30) minus (2x - 3y = 1)

which will give

13y = 29

   y = 29/13

2x - 3(29/13) = 1

                  x = 50/13
