x + y = 2 - (4)

Adding (3) and (4)

x - y + x + y =2 +8

2x = 10

x = 10/2

x = 5

Put x = 5 in (3)

x - y = 8

5 - y = 8

- y = 8 - 5

- y = 3

y = -3

x=5 and y = - 3
