x/(x - 1) + (x - 1)/x = 5/2
Multiplying both sides by 2x(x-1)
=> 2x² + 2(x - 1)² = 5x(x-1)
=> 2x² + 2(x² - 2x + 1) = 5x² - 5x
=> 2x² + 2x² - 4x + 2 = 5x² - 5x
=> 4x² - 4x + 2 = 5x² - 5x
=> x² - x - 2 = 0
=>x² - 2x + x - 2 = 0
=> x(x - 2) + 1(x - 2) = 0
=>(x + 1)(x - 2) = 0
=> x = - 1 or 2
