Solve the given puzzle using equation-The sum of the present age of Vaishali and her age 5 years later is 27 years,then find her present age.

let the present age of vaisali be "x"
her age after 5 yrs will be "x+5"
given the sum Is 27
x+(x+5)=27
2x+5=27
2x=22
x=11
Therefore,Present age of vaisali is 11

Solution :

At present :

Let Vaishali age = x years

5 years later :

Vaishali age will be ( x + 5 ) years

According to the problem given :

x + ( x + 5 ) = 27

=> 2x + 5 = 27

=> 2x = 27 - 5

=> 2x = 22

=> x = 22/2

Therefore ,

x = 11

At present , Vaishali age = x = 11 years
