hey dear,
given,
height of iron pipe = 20 cm.
and,exterior diameter = 25 cm
thus,R = 25/2 cm = 12.5 cm
and,thickness = 1 cm
so,inner radius (r ) = 12.5 - 1 = 11.5 m
Now,Total surface area of iron pipe
= Curved surface area of cylinder + 2(area of thickness of base)
= 2πRh + 2 π(R² - r²)
= 2 × 22/7 × 12.5 × 20 + 2 × 22/7 (12.5² - 11.5²)
=1570 + 150.72
= 1720.72 cm² Ans.
