5x + 8 / 4 - x < 2

Given function -

5x + 8 / 4 - x < 2

5x + 8 / 4 - x - 2 < 0

5x + 8 - 2 ( 4 - x ) / 4 - x < 0

5x + 8 - 8 + 2x / 4 - x < 0

3x / 4 - x < 0

Hence ,

x ∈ ( -∞, 0 ) ∪ ( 4 , + ∞ )
