3y=4+4x4x−3y+4=0..........(ii)

Applying cross multiplication method,

1×(4)−(−8)(−3)x=2×(4)−(−8)×4−y=2×(−3)−1×41⟹−20x=40−y=−101⟹x=2,y=4.∴(x,y)=(2,4)

Hence, the answer is x=2,y=4.
