multiplying eq(1) from 2, we get
x + 4y/3 = -2

using elimination method,
x + 4y/3 = -2
-x + y/3 = -3

5y = -15
y = -3

putting value of 'y' in eq(2), we get
x+-3/3 = 3
x + -1 = 3
x = 4
