Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-y=7.....(1)

2x+9y=13....(2)

Multiplying (1) by 9

36x-9y=63....(3)

Adding (3) and (2)

36x-9y=63

2x+9y=13

--------------

38x=76

X=76/38

X=2

Putting x=2 in (1) equation

4x-y=7

4(2)-y=7

8-y=7

8-7=y

1=y

Hence. X=2 and y=1.

4x-y = 7 ---(i)

2x+9y=13 -----(ii)

multiply eqn (i) by 9

i. e, 36x-9y = 63

by using elimination method

36x - 9y = 63

2x. + 9y = 13

---------------------------

38x. = 76

x = 76/38

x = 2

now put the value of x in eqn (I)

4(2) - y = 7

-y = 7-8

y = 1

hence, x =2 & y = 1
