2x+y= 40......... (1)
x+y= 30........ (2)
Subtracting (2) from (1)
x= 10
Put the value of x in (2)
y= 20

y= MX+6
20= m×10+6
20-6= 10m
m= 14/10= 7/5.

by solving the first 2 equations we getx=10   ,  y=20by substituting the x & y in last equation we get m = 1.4
