3x+4y=10-------------(1)
2x-2y=2
=>(2x-2y=2)×2
=>4x-4y=4--------------(2)
Now adding eqution(1)and(2) we get
3x+4y=10
(+)2x-2y=2
--------------
7x =14
=>x=14/7
=>x=2
then putting the valu of 'x' in eqution(1) we get
(3×2)+4y=10
=>6+4y=10
=>4y=10-6=4
=>y=4/4=1
so the x=2 and y=1(ans)

Answer:

the solutions are x = 2 and y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equations are

3x+4y=10 ---------(1)

2x-2y=2 -------------(2)

From equation (2) we get

x - y = 1

x = y+1 -------------(3)

Substituting the value of 'y' is equation (1) we get

3(y+1)+4y = 10

3y +3 +4y = 10

7y+3 = 10

7y = 7

y = 1

Substitute in equation (3) we get

x = 1+1 = 2

Hence, the solutions are x = 2 and y = 1
