Answer:

4(x-y)+ 3y -5=0 and 5x-2(x-y)-12=0

4x-4y+3y-5=0

4x-y=5 --------------------------------------------------(1)

5x-2x+2y-12=0

3x+2y=12-----------------------------------------------(2)

MULTIPLY Eq.1 BY 2

8x-2y=10 -----------------------------------------------(3)

ADD Eq.2 AND 3

11x = 22

x = 22/11

x = 2

SUBSTITUTE X=2 IN Eq.1

8 - y = 5

8 - 5 = y

y = 3

The solution of the pair of linear equation is x = 2, y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The given system of linear equation is

4(x-y)+3y-5=0...(i)\\\\5x-2(x-y)-12=0....(ii)

Rewrite these equations as shown below

Equation (i) can be written as

4x-4y+3y-5=0\\\\4x-y=5...(iii)

And equation (ii) can be written as

5x-2x+2y-12=0\\\\3x+2y=12....(iv)

Multiply (2) in equation (iii) and then add with (iv)

8x-2y+3x+2y=10+12\\\\11x=22\\\\x=\frac{22}{11}\\\\x=2

Substituting this value in (iii)

4\cdot2-y=5\\\\8-y=5\\\\y=8-5\\\\y=3

Therefore, the solution is x = 2, y = 3
