Solve the pair of linear equation 4x +6/y=15 ; 6x-8/y=14 and also find the value of p such that y =Px-2

Let 1/y = a, the given equations become 4x + 6a = 15 ..(i)

6x – 8a = 14..(ii)

Multiply eqn.

(i) by 4 and eqn. (ii) by 3 and adding
