Answer:

x=1       y=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-y=5   eq1

2x+y=-1   eq2

From eq 1 and 2, add them, we get,

2x-y=5

2x+y=-1

4x=4

x=1

From 1,we get,

2*1-y=5

-y=3

y=-3

Given Equation

⇒2x - y = 5                   (i)

⇒2x + y = -1                  (ii)

Now Take

⇒2x - y = 5                  (i)

When x = 0

⇒2(0) - y = 5

⇒y = -5

We get point (0 , -5)

When y = 0

⇒2x - 0 = 5

⇒2x = 5

⇒x = 5/2

We get point (5/2 , 0 )

Now Take

⇒2x + y = -1           (ii)

When x = 0

⇒2(0) + y = -1

⇒y = -1

We get point (0 , -1)

When y = 0

⇒2x + 0 = -1

⇒2x = -1

⇒x = -1/2

We get point (-1/2 , 0)
