=> x = (5-Y)/2 ----- (i)

put the value of (i) in 2x-3y = 5

2* (5-Y)/2 -3y =5

=> 5-y = 5

=> Y = 0 ----(ii)

so, from (i) we get :

x = (5-0)/2

=5/2
