solution,

let

3x+4y=26

or, x=(26-4y)/3 ----(i)

6x+3y=27

or 6[(26-4y)/3] = 27-3y

or, 156-24y = 3(27-3y)

or, 156-24y = 81-9y

or, 156-81 = -9y+24y

or, 75 = 15y

or, y = 75/15

or, y = 5

and

x = (26-4×5)/3

or, x = 2

therefore x = 2 and y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

3x +4y =26 - it marks as equation 1

6x +3y=27 - it marks as equation 2

multiply equation 1 by 2

we get 6x +8y = 52 - this marks as eq. 3

subtract 2 from 3

6x +8y =52

6x +3y =27

- - - sign changes [6x - 6x =0]

5y =25

y=5

put y in 1 i. e. 3x +4y =26

3x +4*5 = 26

3x + 20 =26

3x = 26 - 20

3x = 6

x=2

we get x=2 and y=5
