Edge of cubical tank = 1.5 m => 150cm.

Surface area of the tank = 5× 150×150 cm ^2.

AREA OF EACH SQUARE TILE = SIDE×SIDE =25×25.

NO OF TILES REQUIRED = SURFACE AREA OF THE TANK / AREA OF EACH TILE.

5×150×150 / 25×25.

=> 180 <=

COST OF 12 TILES = ₹ 360.

COST OF 1 TILE = ₹ 360 / 12 .

=> ₹30.

THE COST OF 180 TILES => 180 × ₹ 30 = ₹ 5400.

I had the same textbook when I was studying in class IX. This chapter's Surface Areas and Volumes, isn't it ?

Solution:

The side of the cube = 1.5 m = 150 cm

Since he's getting the outer surface of the cube, excluding the base and including the lid, for decor purposes(since he's getting the outer lid tiled).

Area required for tiling = LSA of the cube + Area of one side

=> 4a²+a²=>5a²

=>(5×150²) cm²

Area of each square tile = (25×25)cm²

No. of tiles required= (5×150×150)/25×25

=> 180 tiles

Rate= Rs.360/12 tiles

Total cost = 180×(360)/12= 180×30

=>Rs. 5400/-

Mark it as the brainliest!!
