Let D and d are external and internal

diameters of hollow sphere ,

D = 8 cm

d = 4 cm

R = D/2 = 8/2 = 4 cm

r = d/2 = 4/2 = 2 cm

Metal used for Volume of the Sphere

= External volume - internal volume

= 4π/3 [ R³ - r³ ]

= 4π/3 [ 4³ - 2³ ]

= 4π/3 [ 64 - 8 ]

= ( 4 × 56 ) π/3 ---( 1 )

If sphere is melted and cast into

a cone whose diameter = 8cm

radius of the the cone = 4cm

Height of the cone = h cm

Volume of the cone = ( 1 )

(πr² h)/3 = ( 4 × 56 ) π/3

4² × h = ( 4×56 )

h = 14 cm

option ( C ) is correct.

I hope this helps you.
