1st step: 9x^2 +30x+31 =0
2nd step: or, (3x)^2+2.3x.5+(5)^2-(5)^2+31=0
3rd step: or, (3x+5)^2 -25 +31 =0
4th step : or, (3x+5)^2=-6
But for any real value of x, (3x+5)^2 can not be negative. ..
therefore the quadratic equation 9x^2+30x+31=0 has no real root............
