Answer:

x = 3 and y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving Equation (i)

2x -  \frac{3}{y}  = 9

Multiplying Both sides by y

2xy - 3 = 9y

2xy - 9y - 3 = 0

y(2x - 9) - 3 = 0

y(2x - 9) = 3

y =  \frac{3}{2x - 9}

Put Value of y in equation (ii)

3x +  \frac{7}{y}  = 2

3xy + 7 = 2y

3x( \frac{3}{2x - 9} ) + 7 = 2( \frac{3}{2x - 9} )

 \frac{9x}{2x - 9}  + 7 =  \frac{6}{2x - 9}

Multiplying both sides by 2x-9

9x + 7(2x - 9) = 6

9x + 14x - 63 = 6

23x  = 6 + 63

x =  \frac{69}{23}

x = 3

Put x = 3 in equation (i)

2x -  \frac{3}{y}  = 9

2xy - 3 = 9y

2 \times 3 \times y - 3 = 9y

6y - 3 - 9y = 0

 - 3y - 3 = 0

y =  \frac{3}{3}

y = 1
