Taking common :-


$ax(1 + a) + by(1 + a) - (ax + by) {}^{2}$






$(ax + by)(1 + a) - (ax + by) {}^{2}$



Taking (ax + by)^2 as common



$(ax + by)( (1 + a) - (ax + by))$



so, factorization is :-


(ax + by) [ (1+a) - (ax + by) ]
