= -15+10(-7)
= -15-70

(iv)a = a/2 ; d = a-a/2 = (2a-a)/2 = a/2 ; n= 17
a(n) = a+(n-1)d
= a/2+(17-1)×a/2
= a/2+16×a/2
= a/2+8a
= (a+16a)/2
= 17a/2
