(a)  given :- (i) area of rhombus = 240 cm sq.

            (ii) d_{1} = 16 cm

we know that

area of rhombus =  d_{1} x  d_{2} /2

                     240 =  16 x d_{2} /2

                     240 =  8 x d_{2}

    d_{2} =  240/8

    d_{2} = 30 cm

(b) given :- (i)  d_{1} = 7.5 cm

                 (ii) d_{2} = 12cm

we know that

area of rhombus =  d_{1} x  d_{2} /2

                            = 7.5 x 12

                            = 45 cm sq.
