Answer:

multiply eq 1 by 3 and eq 2 by 2

6x - 21y =2

6x + 2y = 44

23y = 23

y = 1

put y = 1 in eq 2

3x + 1 = 22

3x = 22 - 1

x =21÷ 3

x = 7

Answer:

2x −7y = 7 .....(I)

3x + y = 22 .....(II)

Multiply (II) with 7

21x + 7y = 154 .....(III)

(I) + (III)

23x = 161

x = 7, y = 1
