solve the simultaneous equation . 3x+y=10 , x-y=2​

Answer:

3x+y=10 .... equation 1

x-y=2 .... equation 2

add equation 1 and 2

3x+y=10

+ x-y=2

= 4x =12 (+y and -y will get cancelled)

= x =12/4

= x=3

substitute the value of x in equation 1

= 3x+y=10

= 3(3)+y=10

= 9+y=10

= y=10-9

= y=1

Therefore (x,y) is (3,1) is the solution of the given equation.
