by subtracting eqn 2 from eqn 1, we get

∴ v= 31.68u-1
substituting the value of v in eqn 2, we get
33u -32(31.68u-1) = 96
33u-1013.76u + 32 = 96
-980.76u = 64
∴ u=-0.06525≈0.0653
v=31.68u-1
= 31.68×0.06525 -1
= 1.06712 ≈ 1.067
∴ u=0.0653 ; v=1.067
