let 1/x=a and 1/y=b
2a+3b=13. (1)
5a-4b=-2. (2)

multiplying (1) with 4 and (2) with 3 we get
8a+ 12b=52
15a-12b=-6

Adding

23a=46
a=1/2

putting value of a in (1)
3b=12
b=1/4

since a=1/x and b=1/y
x=2 and y=4

hope helped
thanks
