Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Using formula

nth term = a + (n-1)d

here a is first term

a + (n-1)*2 = 4

a + 2n -2 =4

a +2n =6

a =6 - 2n

now, sum of n term = n/2[2a + (n-1)d]

n/2 [ 2a + (n - 1)2] = -14

an + n^2 - n = -14

Putting value of a

(6 - 2n)n + n^2 -  n =-14

-n^2 + 5n + 14 = 0

n^2 - 5n -14 = 0

n=7,-2

-2 th term not possible

n=7

a=6-2n = 6 - 2*7 = -8

Hope it helps:-)
