- Maharashtra -The Dangars were important pastrol community of Maharashtra.Most of them were shepherd and some were blanket weavers .During winter the Dangers shepherd lived in the centeral Plateau of Maharashtra .
- Jammu and Kashmir-thte Gujjar Bakar were the nomadic group from Jammu and Kashmir.They are herders of goats and sheep .
- Rajasthan- Raikas were another group of pastrol community of Rajasthan. Due to low rainfall the cultivation of crops was not possible in this region. So Raikas combined cultivation with pastrolism.One group of Raikas were know as Maru,they herded camels and the other group reared goat and sheep.
