Firstly, the class intervals are improper, convert them into equal intervals.
They will be: 19.5-29.5 | 29.5-39.5 | 39.6-49.5 | 49.5-59.5 | 59.5-69.5
*Do not worry as the frequencies remain the same*
The highest frequency is 50, so, 39.5-49.5 is the modal class
now, mode = l+\frac{f_1-f_0}{2f_1-f_0-f_2}*h
and, now, f_1=50, f_2=30, f_0=20 (frequencies above and below modal class)
l=39.5(lower limit of modal class)
and, h=49.5-39.5=10(class height)
substitute these values in the above eqn.
you will get:[tex]mode = 39.5+10(\frac{50-20}{100-30-20}) =39.5+10(\frac{30}{50})=39.5+6=45.5[/tex]
Hence, mode = 45.5

DrashtiBhavsar: hey your answer is wrong
DrashtiBhavsar: right answer is 45.5
ByakuyaKuchiki: yo!, sry...now its corrected! m sry
ByakuyaKuchiki: just screwed the addition at the end if you have noticed
