Question:-

Find the volume of the cone.

Either enter an exact answer in terms of π or use 3.14 for π .

Figure in attachment.

Answer:-

Given:-

  • Radius of cone = 10
  • Height of cone = 6

To Find:-

  • Volume of cone

Identity used :-

  • Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

Solution:-

In terms of π

Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

= 1/3 × π × 10² × 6

= 1/3 × π × 100 × 6

= 600/3 × π

= 200π

In terms of π = 3.14

Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

= 1/3 × 3.14 × 10² × 6

= 1/3 × 3.14 × 100 × 6

= 1/3 × 3.14 × 600

= 1884/3

= 628 units
